Ladies, this is for you
Ladies, this is for you

Some online experiences are beyond my comprehension
Answers to a frustratingly annoying question…
For decades, I’ve been seeing posts by ladies who are approached by guys (or bots purporting to be guys) who ask personal questions.
Doing such a thing is so far beyond my imagination that I can comprehend neither the mindset nor the hardness of spheres necessary to behave so wrongly.
One may expect the frequency of such behavior to diminish as more men (and their bots) become educated about such inappropriateness.
Instead, the problem seems to be intensifying. And there’s one question common to all.
I’ve never understood why many people believe single people are flawed.
I always thought I’d be single and am still surprised and grateful that Management continues to tolerate me and my krap despite having known me in all respects (including the biblical one) all these years.
My first reaction to that question is to apply the late, great, Zig Ziglar’s Hot Potato technique, tossing it right back to the asker:
"Why are YOU single?”
Then my imagination gets going…
“Because I’m braver than the millions of unhappy married people who stay married out of fear of being labelled failures for being single.”
“Because I’m rebelling against societal norms.”
“Because I’m unwilling to share my amazing life with just any bozo. BTW, nice clown shoes ya got there.”
“Because I’m only in this to find a rich person for my next hitch-and-ditch.”
“Because the parole board psychiatrist said I’m not ready for a relationship yet.”
“Because stalking people is so much more fun.”
“Because I’m in the middle of the victim selection process.”
“Because I’m a very busy [choose one] spy/detective/PI currently following a dangerous [choose one] criminal/fugitive/bigamist and I need to appear natural. Please don’t turn around or you’ll blow my cover.”
Ladies, please swipe and deploy the above responses as often as necessary when dealing with stupid, clueless men (and their bots).
